June 13th - Kelly's Birthday!

Today was Kelly's birthday so we celebrated by her going to work and me sticking to my training plan and working on my cornhole board project.  Exciting stuff, I know.

I had a pretty good swim this morning and I stayed at 2200 yards.  I will increase the distance next week.  I am going to have to get into the open water soon because it is getting pretty boring staring at the black line on the bottom of the pool for hours.  I try to break the swim up with different speeds and techniques but it's still pretty monotonous. 

This afternoon I did another 90 minute run/walk at 3 minute intervals.  Other than the ridiculous heat it went pretty well.  The knee was a bit sore but it got better as I continued.  I iced afterwards and it felt great. 

In between those 2 workouts I did a core session.  I am trying to mix it up and do some different moves so hopefully I will see some more results soon.

Tomorrow is a much needed rest day.
