It's getting considerably warmer here in GA by the day. Today's workout was a scheduled walk and instead of going in the morning when I woke up I decided to go after church. By then it was already 85 degrees out.
This is a recovery week for me so my workouts will be shorter in duration this week. After yesterday's brick workout I did notice that my knee is a little bit sore and tired. Today's walk was only 45 minutes, and we covered 3.5 miles. We took both of the dogs, and I think its starting to get a bit too hot for Hank to exercise in the middle of the day. I'll have to make sure that I only take him in the mornings or late evening.
Since I got that gift card to Dick's from a student, I decided to get some new running shoes for my triumphant return to running next week. I am going to try a new brand that Kelly seems to really like. I am going to switch from my Saucony Kinvaras to the Brooks PureConnect and see how they feel. If they don't work out I may have to switch back or try the Saucony Virratas. I won't really know anything until I am able to run for more than a few minutes at a time.
Today was also a core workout day, and I shortened this workout as well:
