May 2nd - Track is finally over

Today was the last track meet of the season, so hopefully I can return some structure to my training plan for Lake Placid and Florida.  Even though grade repair will continue for two more weeks, I should be able to get home in time to ride some decent distances in the evenings.

I am going to address the pain at the front of my knee just under the kneecap tomorrow with Dr. Karyn and see what she thinks about it.  Other than that things have been progressing well this week.

Today was another swim day.  I have changed my breathing pattern to every other stroke and I noticed that I have been getting a bit of a headache as my yardage increases.  I have also noticed that my speed has increased so I'll need to figure out if its worth it or if I need to go back to the old way.  My swim this morning was another 1700 yards.

The weather was a little iffy today so I did a leg workout and a short 30 minute, 2.5 mile walk.  After the track meet today I was also able to get in an upper body and core workout as well.

Here is the tally for today:

Legs
Extensions 3x15 (7.5lb)
Curls 3x15 (5)
Calf Raises 3x15

Push-ups 4x25
Pull-ups 4x25
Core 10x25
